Terms and conditions

  1. This promotion is open to all residents in the UK aged 18 or over, except for employees of MasterCard, their immediate families, their agents or anyone else professionally connected with the promotion.
  2. The promotion opens on 7th February 2007 and closes 28th February 2007 (the 'Promotional Period')
  3. Each person who answers all 20 questions correctly will be automatically included into the prize draw.
  4. There are 10 official BRITs Hits CD's to be won.
  5. The draw will be made within three days of the close date and the winners will be notified within a further four days after this date in writing.
  6. The competition consists of one random draw where ten winners will be selected. The winners will be the first ten valid entries drawn within 3 days of the draw closing date. The draw will be made under the supervision of an independent adjudicator.
  7. The promoter reserves the right at any time during the promotion to change any of the illustrations or layout of the competition.
  8. The promoter will not be held responsible for winners not taking advantage of the prizes due to health or any other reasons.
  9. Tickets cannot be sold or transferred in any manner and must be used by the promotion winner. There is no cash alternative.
  10. The competition consists of one random draw where one winner and three runners up will be selected. The winner and runners up will be the first and the next three valid entries drawn within 3 days of the draw closing date. The draw will be made under the supervision of an independent adjudicator.
  11. The names of the winners will be available by sending a stamped SAE marked 'Winners' to Hayley Thistlethwaite, The BRIT Awards 2007 with MasterCard, PO Box 31586, London, W11 4YB
  12. The promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  13. The promoter takes no responsibility for entries submitted but not received or for the connectivity of the web site access. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt. Entries received from third parties will be void.
  14. If the promoter has reasonable cause to believe that the promotion has been compromised in any way, it reserves the right to cancel the promotion outright, or declare individual registrations invalid. The promoter shall not be held responsible for lost connections, miscommunications, failed computer transmissions or technical failures.
  15. The promoter reserves the right to substitute any part of the prize should it become unavailable, or should it prove inappropriate for any reason.
  16. The winners and their companions agree to take part in reasonable publicity.
  17. There is no cash alternative and the prize is non-transferable.
  18. Participation in this promotion constitutes an integral acceptance of these terms and conditions, including any decisions which the promoter may take in order to safeguard a smooth proceeding of the promotion.
  19. Entrants' personal data are processed by the Promoter, the controller of your personal data, and also by the Promoters agency involved in administering the Promotion. Entrants' personal data shall be processed for the purpose of your participation in the Promotion only and will only be retained as long as necessary for such purpose (i.e. until 3 months after the end of the Promotion). Entrants can request access to and/or rectification of their personal data. For these purposes entrants can contact the Promoter at the below address or by e-mailing privacy_europe@mastercard.com. By participating to the Promotion, entrants consent that their personal data may, for the same purpose as stated above, also be transferred to other entities of the MasterCard group of companies based in countries that, according to EU principles, do not provide an adequate level of protection of personal data and to Promoter third party contractors necessary to process entrants' participation in the promotion.
  20. If you email the Pic Quiz to a friend, you confirm that you have your friends' consent to send such a message informing them of the promotion.
